Mark runs a very large realtor office in Loganville and also blurs the lines as a developer of and realtor representative of many subdivisions in the area.
We fell in love with a house that Mark developed and represented as a realtor. As soon as we purchased the house, all of the promises Mark's office made about after the sale service proved to be untrue. He did not attend the closing. Our walk through was rushed and included many promises of fixing the small issues we found. A wet area found on the side of the house was minimized and promised to be dealt with. Mark did send some contractors to deal with the issues but only 50% of them were resolved. Our buyer's agent was our advocate, but he would not resolve the issues. The primary issue was flooding in our basement from the wet area we noticed at the walk through. The contractor explained Mark was unwilling to spend the money to resolve the issues properly, because he was losing money in the down market. This went on for 4 years. Finally, we had to spend $4,000 to install a sump pump to pump out the excess water on the side of our house that was resulting from the entire subdivision being graded to flow water into our house, and a wet weather spring being located on the property. All is well now, but we still have a multitude of small issues - like incomplete finishes on the floors, locks that don't lock.
The general problem was that he says one thing and does another. We were left feeling like we were sold Florida swampland and when he claimed it was a prime dairy farm. Ultimately he was not a man of his word, therefore my recommendation is to use someone else.
